Emilio Martín looks for his third World Duathlon

Spain hosts its third World Duathlon in the last 5 years, after Gijón 2011 and Pontevedra 2014.

 

 

The FETRI is dedicated to duathlon support, as shown by the fact that last year the European was held in Alcobendas and recently it has been announced that Soria will house it in 2017.

 

Spanish participation will be very strong, as has been usual in recent seasons when competing "at home"

 

On Saturday 4 of June in the morning will take place the Junior competitions, sprint distance. The 16: 00 will take the Elite and Sub23 girls and the 19: 00 men, both 10km standard distance running races, 40km cycling and 5km running race.

 

In the male category, the main candidates for the title are Huelva Emilio Martín defending title, the French Benoit Nicolas y Yohan Le Berreand South African triathlete will need special attention Richard Murray, one of the best cyclists and runners of the WTS.

 

The remaining component of the "DuArmada" are Sergio Lorenzo, Uxio Abuin, Roger Roca, Iván Cáceres, Gustavo Rodríguez y Luis Miguel Martín Berlanas, Olympic diploma in Athens ... in 3000m obstacles.

 

Male start list

 

While in the female category the favorites are the Danish Susanne Svendsen, the Italian Giorgia Priarone and the British Emma Pallart. On the Spanish side they will be Paula Garcia Godino, Mavi Garcia (both trained to fight with the best), Sara Bonilla, Daviania Albinyana, Laura Álvarez y Lucia Perez.
