Flora Duffy 4 from 4 at the Edmonton World Series

The Bermudan triathlete left from the start of the race to get her fourth consecutive victory in the World Series this year

Today was held in the town of Edmonton (Canada) the sixth round of the world circuit, where the triathlete Flora Duffy has met the predictions and has achieved victory adding his fourth in a row this year after having climbed to the top of the podium in Yokohama, Leeds and Hamburg.

The test that was disputed about sprint distance began at the 9 Spanish time, with the participation of Carolina Routier as the only Spanish representative.

The first to get out of the water was Summer Cook followed closely by a group consisting of Vittoria Lopes, Taylor Knibb and Carolina Routier at 6 seconds.

In the beginning of the cycling sector, Flora Duffy tried to break the race from the beginning in a tough climb leaving with Taylor Knibb leading in close to 20 seconds to Katie Zaferes and Katie Kasper in the first round of the circuit. The pursuer group of 16 units with Carolina Routier passed 26 seconds from the head of the race.

In the second round, the advantage increased, passing through the transition zone with 40 seconds ahead of the chasing group of 15 units with Zaferes, Kasper, Cook and Routier among others. The front group of Duffy and Knibb was increasing the advantage to reach T2 with 1:20 advantage over the chasing group on the last lap, however Duffy attacked on the last climb leaving alone and reaching T2 with 12 seconds ahead of Taylor Knibb and 1:35 over the chasing group of 14 points.

With a rapid transition Flora Duffy He continued with his recital in the 5 km race on foot, and was increasing his advantage over the rest of the participants, reaching the finish line alone and achieving victory with a time of 1:00:22, adding his fourth consecutive win this season in World Series and second in sprint distance.

The young American Taylor Knibb, winner of the Junior Grand Final last year in Cozumel, was the surprise of the test by getting the second final position. Taylor has won the CAMTRI Cup in Des Moines this year and got a fourth place in Cagliari.

 The fight for third place on the podium was more disputed, since a group of 3 formed by Katie Zaferes, and Summer Cook was formed, who were together until the last part of the test Katie Zaferes attacked by leaving and taking an advantage of 12 seconds over Summer Cook I occupy the third final position.

Carolina Routier finally finished in the 17º position
