All prepared for the great battle between Mario Mola and Jonathan Brownlee in Cozumel

Only 235 points separate Mario Mola and Jonathan Brownlee

This year the title of the world triathlon series is more exciting than ever, since Mario Mola, leader of the world ranking, comes with options to achieve it although as long as he is in front of the youngest of the Brownlee brothers, Jonathan, who recently received a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio.

Only 235 points separate them and Mola would only need a podium to get the title, but it will not be an easy task since he will meet Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee, Fernando Alarza or Richard Murray.

At Brownlee brothers they are interested in making a tactic similar to the one they made in Rio de Janeiro to leave Mola out of the podium positions, so surely since the swim will start the battle to leave him behind to be able to increase the advantage in cycling and go out to run without the presence of Spanish, the fastest athlete on the circuit.

Mario Mola y Richard Murray, training partners, suffered the strategy of the Brownlee in Rio and certainly have learned from the race and will always try to be very attentive to the British.

Everything indicates that the race will be decided in the race on foot where Richard Murray was the fastest in Rio and Mario Mola has the career record in a World Series with 28: 59 last year at the Chicago Grand Final.

Fernando Alarza, has virtually assured third place in the World Ranking, where he has made an impressive season with 3 podium climbing to the top in Cape Town.

The heat an important factor

The temperature will be a factor to be taken into account in the test and can be a good ally for Mola and Murray, more accustomed to these temperatures than the Brownlee brothers, however it was not the case in Rio with similar characteristics where they got the medal of gold and silver respectively.

Male start list

The test will be played on Sunday 18 of September at 22: 00 Spanish time
