After the race we were able to talk to the Spaniards who told us how they were in competition, Gurutze Frades told us: "It was a race with some hard circuits that at first I was not very good at.

I think I have done a good swim where we have left the third, fourth and fifth together and by bike I have been gradually trimming. In the race on foot despite being a hard circuit I made a good partial and can finish in second position.

After the race we have flown to Madrid and we will start our trip to Hawaii".

Meanwhile Sara Loehr said: "It was a very tough race, one of the toughest triathlons I've ever done. I went out with Guru from the water and we were able to go together on the bike until the last kilometers that escaped me. In the race on foot I suffered a lot especially in the last kilometers that the fourth stepped on my heels, but finally I was able to hold the third position. I am very happy with my career"
