Ivan Raña fifth in the Ironmam 70.3 Las Palmas

The heat has been decisive in the race, forcing several triathletes to stop and walk in the race sector

 

 

Today has been disputed in Brazil Ironman 70.3 Las Palmas where the Galician triathlete has achieved the fifth place. The victory has been for Tim Dom

This test was chosen by Ivan to debut this season, looking for sensations to compete in the Club la Santa Ironman Lanzarote next May

The test consisted of swimming 1,9 km, traveling 90km of cycling and 21 of running on foot.

The first to get out of the water was the British Tim Don, who along with a group of 8 where Ivan was. On the bike, a leading group of 4 was formed with Tim Don, Leon Grifffin, Nils Frommhold and Cody Beals. Ivan Raña entered 8º places with almost 2 minutes disadvantage over the leading group.

In the 21 km race on foot, Briton Tim Dom, imposed a strong pace in the lead. Where only Leon Grifffin could always follow him a few seconds behind. Iván Raña showed his good career sector advancing positions to get the final fifth place. The heat has been decisive in the test, forcing several triathletes to stop and walk in the race sector

Finally the victory was for Tim Don with a final time of 3: 51: 11, followed Leon Griffin(3:56:49) in second place by and by Cody Beals (3: 59: 12) occupying the third final position. The only Spanish representative Ivan Raña finished fifth with a final 4 time: 03: 13
