The Belgian Eddy Merck, Possibly the best cyclist of all time (the one with the best record has by far) was nicknamed "El Caníbal" because of his desire for victory, he disputed and won (almost) everything: classic, races of 3 weeks, prizes of the mountain, regularity, track competitions, small laps, etc. In his record he has more than 500 victories as a professional.

After the victory of Javi today in Stockholm, we allow ourselves to "steal" the nickname of the Belgian for a few days, to quote "our" particular Canary of the triathlon, who today has shown that he never tires of winning and has already put his 5 title on track. world.

Today was the eighth round of the world series in the city of Stockholm, where the absence of the Bronwlee brothers stood out

Swimming in a 2-lap circuit (1 of 1.000 meters and another of 500) was highly contested, since he swam without wetsuits, Henry Schemean was the first to get out of the water with a great Cesc Godoy coming out in fourth position.

A group of 5 came out with a slight advantage at the beginning of the cycling sector, although the chasing group with Javier Gómez Noya and Vicente Hernández caught up with them in the first lap. Mario Mola y Fernando Alarza, they came out a little late (30 seconds) in the swimming, which made him lose the race groups and fight to catch up with the leaders.

Little by little the leaders were increasing the advantage complicating the race to Mario Mola, 2nd classified in the World Ranking, to get a good position to score points in the race. In the middle of the race, the difference between Noya's group and the second group was 55 seconds. Finally, Noya's group reached T2 with 1:25 seconds of advantage.

At the start of the foot race Javier Gómez Noya, he was at the head of the race without forcing too much, leaving in a group with Pereria and Royle, until he launched a small attack, increasing the rhythm that helped him increase the advantage little by little to reach the goal alone and achieve victory with a final time of 1:49:33, the second to arrive was Joao Pereira and Aaron Royle in third position.

A large Vicente Hernández I do a fantastic walk on foot which helped him to reach the seventh final position. Cesc Godoy I finished the test in a great 26º position.
