The next 8 and 9 of April will be competing the second stage of the Triathlon World Series (WTS) in Gold Coast (Australia) this time on sprint distance.

We have good memories of this test, since last year the World Champion Mario Mola he got his third consecutive victory in the 2016 World Series and Fernando Alarza he climbed to the second drawer of the podium in the test ahead of Jonathan Brownlee

On the starting line will be the five times World Champion Javier Gómez Noya, winner of the first circuit test in Abu Dhabi and he has not run an ITU sprint test since Edmonton 2015, although he demonstrated good performance in the Super League Triathlon, so it will be necessary to see how he defends himself in this distance with younger triathletes.

Will also be Mario Mola, World Champion last year and winner of the 2016 test. Mario finished in eighth place in Abu Dhabi, but we hope to see him fight for the victory in the race. Fernando Alarza is another of the favorites, fourth in Abu Dhabi and getting the best partial race on foot has shown its quality and its good form.  Vicente Hernández Complete the Spanish participation.

Other triathletes to keep in mind are the Australians Jacob BirtwhistleRyan Dancing and Drew Box, the swiss Andrea Salvisberg , the American Ben Kanute, the South African Henri Schoeman or the New Zealand Ryan Sissons.
