"I'm very disappointed, obviously. I ran very well in Auckland and the Gold Coast, and then I had bad luck in London, and from there I focused on the second half of the season.

I need to focus on my rehabilitation in the first instance and then gradually go back to training. I'm not going to Rush because next year is a great year, but I'll be doing what I can be back in Chicago this year."

Technical director Brendan Purcell says: "An exploration has confirmed a fracture in the left femur, but it is less severe than we thought at first. As with any injury, we will monitor your progression very closely because the response to rest and rehabilitation is very individual.

We will do everything possible so that Jonny returns to training again as quickly as possible, bearing in mind that next year is one yearl ".

With the lack of 3 WTS klas racing and the grand finale, Jonathan gives up the World Cup for this year, which is very favorable for Javier Gómez Noya.
