José Almagro and Eva Valero win in the VII edition of Ecotrimad

Yesterday 16 of June was celebrated the first day of competitions of the ECOTRIMAD emphasizing the test queen, the triathlon of average distance and championship of Madrid of MD where José Almagro and Eva Valero have been the winners.

After two years out of the triathlon for different injuries three weeks ago he reappeared in the Guadalajara triathlon and here in the Ecotrimad was reunited with the triumph, taking the victory in the test with a time 4: 45: 10 and was proclaimed champion of Madrid de Media Distance. Second in goal was the winner of Ecotrimad 2017 Monica Falgueras with 4: 58: 07 who a punctured in the T1 made him lose a lot of time but he overcame and was able to overcome coming second and achieving the silver medal in the MD Madrid championship. The third place and bronze medal was for  M ª Teresa Martinez, just 5” from Monica.

José Almagro: "Swimming in my case I have swum very badly, I have become disoriented and off center, losing a lot of time. The first to emerge from the guide was David Castro highlighted and after a group with several of the favorites. I have arrived at the T1 at 3 or 4 'of this group and I had to start overcoming in the cycling segment. I was able to get off second to run a minute from the leader and in the 20 kilometers of running I have found myself very well, I have come back and I have been able to win, both in the Ecotrimad and in the Madrid Championship"

Eva Valero: "After two years out of the world of triathlon due to injury, I return with great enthusiasm. Head and body recovered and stronger than before. I wanted to start with the Spanish Championship in Guadalajara since it was my first half 15 years ago. Without any expectation, only to feel the competition running through my veins again. I did a very good race with the 13 in elite and very happy. Today I wanted to get back my title of champion of Madrid because I was very excited and I got it enjoying a lot in all the segments of the test.

Perhaps the hardest the race on foot because of how desolate I was, but still I did not lose the concentration and my rhythm remained constant all the time until the goal. And to say something more, swimming is a joy in riosequillo as the bike tour with those slides and enjoying a spectacular landscape.
