Kristian Blummenfelt and Katie Zaferes take the first stage of the Super League Triathlon Jersey

Norway's Kristian Blummenfelt attacked in the last kilometer to claim victory in the Triple Mix Super League taking place in Jersey after a duel with South African Richard Murray and Jonathan Brownlee during the 3 rounds of the event. Mario Mola finishes fifth and Fernando Alarza was left out in the third round. Carolina Routier finished in seventh position

Katie Zaferes was the fastest in the three rounds of the Triple Mix, outstripping in 19 seconds to Nicola Spirig in the inaugural race of the Super Triathlon Women's League in Jersey. Summer Cook completed the first women's podium.

Triple Mix

The Triple Mix is a test in which the triathletes have made 3 rounds changing the order of the sports with 10 minutes of rest between each of them. The starting position of each athlete was where he finished in the previous round, starting the competition with the difference lost in the previous round and where the winner is the best total time achieved at the end of the test.

Fastest to complete the circuit was Blummenfelt followed by Richard Murray and Jonathan Brownlee and Henri Schoeman came in a distant fourth as the rest of the field split into small chasing groups. Mario Mola it was fifth and Fernando Alarza twenty-fifth

Round 2

Race (2km), Cycling (6km), Swimming (300m)

After the break of 10 minutes, the second stage began with the pursuit, of the first three where they started with a difference of 11 seconds,

The first three were mounted together on the bike and in a very fast segment the advantage was increased to start swimming where Blummenfelt finished in first position, followed by Brownlee and by Murray in third position. Schoeman was fourth mientars that Mario Mola was climbing positions to finish in sixth position.

Round 3

Cycling (6km), Swimming (300m), Race (2km)

The final stage of Triple Mix began with the cycling segment, where the final victory between v, Brownlee and Murray was to be decided. In this test, the runners who had a disadvantage of more than 90 seconds were eliminated, leaving Fernando Alarza, Richard Varga among others. After today's test Blummenfelt is placed as leader with 25 points followed by Murray (21) four points behind and by Brownlee with 18. In the Women's prizes Katie Zaferes, Nicola Spirig and Summer Cook lead the classification.

These points achieved today puts them in an advantageous position to fight for tomorrow's Eliminator test, consisting of 3 swim-bike-race rounds with 10 minutes of rest between each of them. These 10 minutes start when the winner of the series goes into goal, which means that the rest will have less recovery time. After each round the athletes who are leaving the last will be eliminated
