The numbers: Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza options to be Triathlon World Champions

Jonnathan Browlee he does it in second position in the WTS ranking with 3705 points, thanks to a first place, three seconds and a third. For its part Fernando Alarza occupies the third position with 3444, fruit of a first position, a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth. The story is with Mario Mola, since whenever a triathlete has won 3 or more WTS series in the same season he has won the world title.

Fernando Alarza He is the one who has the most difficulty, because it does not depend on himself, but also on the results of Mario and Jonny. In case of Alarza's win in Cozumel I would add 4644 points and I would need that Mola minimum was 8º and Brownlee 5º. In case Fernando was 2º, Mario should be 10º and Jonny 6º. Finally to secure the podium Fernando needs to be 13º.

In case of being 4º or 5º you need Jonny not to win. If Mario were 6º he would need an 3º of Jonny and in case of being 7º that the Briton did not raise the podium.
