Summary of the 6-7 competition weekend 2016

Several championships have been played this weekend

With the dispute in Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) of the IV edition of the Timanfaya Triathlon, the triathlon year was started in Spanish territory. The competition was held under the sprint distance, swimming 750m in the bay of Playa Blanca, then 20km of cycling in a circuit a lap from Playa Blanca towards Yaiza, with the turning point located in La Hoya and then 5km race on foot, in a circuit of 1250m which was given four laps.

The victory in the female category was for Bella Bayliss with a time of 1: 04: 16, at almost a minute of it came the junior Amber Rombaut and in third position more than 7 ' Annika Spronk. In the male category victory to the sprint of Uxío Abuin with a time of 53: 41 and after him to 2 '' Stephen Bayliss. To 2 'of them in third position arrived Victor del Corral who gave us the great joy of the day with his return to competition after several months injured. 

In the peninsula, highlight the Ctos. Autonomous of Duatlon of the Valencian Community and Murcia. 

In Banyeres, the Autonomous Championship of the Valencian Community of Duathlon, with the Banyeres 55.5 duathlon, test belonging to the No Drafting Series circuit, under the distance 9,6 + 36 + 4,8. The cycling circuit was very hard as you can see that only a few men got an average of + 30km / h ... and in girls only one exceeded the 25km / h.

In the women Miriam Muñoz took the race "from end to end" ahead of 6 'over the second classified Elizabeth Wade (who did not count for the autonomic), third in goal was Cristina Roselló and fourth (closing the regional podium) Krisztina Molnar. In the men's competition, he won Zapata RaceFollowed by Vicente Calvo y Chistian Climent. 

In Puerto Lumbreras, the Duathlon Murcia Regional Championship, under the standard distance 10 + 40 + 5, test without drafting. In male category victory for Eduardo ChordáFollowed by Raul Martinez to 30 '' and third Pedro Antonio López almost 2 '. As regards the women's competition Syvia Genhböck beat with almost 6 'over Mabel Gallardo and more from 12 'on Maria Raquel Miras

In other modalities there was an outstanding participation of triathletes in the Championship of Catalonia of Clubs of Short Cross in Vidreres. An error of the organization deprived Jordi Gracia (10º) and Albert Parreño (19º) of a better result, since they were guided erroneously and had to travel 100m more. Another triathlete who played the cross was Rodrigo Torres that ended at the 34ª plaza. In the female category the girls also shined, Laura Gomez it was 4ª, Anna Flaquer 9ª and Marta Sanchez 13ª. Finally, highlight the 3ª position (and best Spanish) of Alba Reguillo in the Half Marathon of Almería with a time of 1h22min.
