Samer Ali-Saad gets his ninth victory at the Seville Triathlon

The Sevillian triathlete wins again, ahead of Germán Rodríguez and Pedro Lumbreras.

 

The XX BMW San Pablo Motor - Seville Triathlon by AX3 Triathlon, third test of the Europa FM Circuit, already has an owner. And he is an old acquaintance of this competition, Samer Ali-Saad. The Seville returns to the path of victory, achieving the second consecutive, and ninth in total.

The triathlete of the Sloppy Joe's-Isbilya came out to swim the 1500 meters in the Guadalquivir River with a slight disadvantage of 6 seconds compared to the Cádiz-born Germán Rodríguez. It was in the bicycle sector where Samer squeezed, to get hooked on his rival and form a tandem that would be understood perfectly during the 40 kilometers pedaling through the Isla de la Cartuja. Of the second transition they would leave together with what in the last section, 10 kilometers of race on foot, they were going away to play the victory. The podium was completed by the Sevillian Pedro Lumbreras, who made a very good sector on foot and came up on the heels of Rodriguez.

For Samer Ali-Saad it is his ninth victory in this race, which shows that he is the clear dominator in front of his audience: "The truth is that it is a great joy to win in my city. Today I found myself quite well, and my legs have responded. And that I have had a problem with the handle of the bike, which has been released and could not stop or practically change the pinion. But I have overlapped. Now my goal is to reach the tenth victory here, but it is complicated because every year that passes more rivals appear".

In the female category, the triumph has taken Raquel Úbeda. He raised his arms with a time of 2h22'07 '', almost five minutes ahead of Esther Ruiz and six of Míriam Gómez. Cemented his victory in swimming, which was clearly dominant, taking seven minutes ahead of his pursuer. What remained on the bicycle section and then on foot was managing that advantage.
