The Spanish MD Champion, Sara Loehr sets course for Argentina

The Catalan triathlete will spend a few weeks there, where they will take advantage of the southern summer to train in good weather

The current champion of Spain of Media Distancia Sara Loerh and 6ª in DO travels together Rodrigo Torres (his partner and coach) to Argentina (Rodrigo's native country) where they will spend the next weeks.

We spoke with them before taking the flight (Saturday night) and they told us a little about the objectives of this trip. Sara Loehr has been the great revelation of the Spanish MD in 2015, with her triumphs in the Spanish MD Championship in Valencia and the Challenge Paguera, as well as the Elche, Challenge Salou and Zarauzt podiums.

The Catalan triathlete told us that they will spend a few weeks there, where they will take advantage of the austral summer to train with good weather and heat, avoiding the cold of Spain.

In the beginning, your 2016 calendar will be similar to this year: I'll start at Arenales113 in Elche, then Zarautz and the Spain MD Championship in Valencia. I also hope to be able to compete in some international Challenge event and in the European IM 70.3 Wiesbaden in Germany.

For his part Rodrigo Torres told us that: "We travel to Argentina to spend the end of the year holidays with her my family. In addition we will visit places that Sara does not know, but we will keep the training plan for the 2016 competitions.

Although there we will be in summer we will not change the plans, we will follow the planning as if we were in the winter of Barcelona as we do it every day. Right now Sara is not yet in her best form but we hope to compete in some local triathlon to take advantage of them as quality trainings"
