Sara Loehr "a la Gwen Jorgensen" in Valencia113

Sara got a clear victory

Last Sunday during the dispute of the Spain MD Championship in Valencia we were struck by the partial running of the champion of Spain Sara Loehr, that in spite of the heat and the humidity it marked a sensational time of 1h23min31s in the 21km, which supposed that only 20 men ran more than her. In addition to the 5º best partial of the race was only 1min32s better than the time marked by Sara ... And that Loehr made half the leg of the race on foot booking and managing the advantage.

Given the great career sector of the Catalan triathlete, we have allowed ourselves to “compare” her (saving the distances) with the dominator of the WTS Gwen Jorgensen, who gets records in running race at the level of some men.

After the race we talked with Sara who told us how the competition developed:

"After the swim it was clear that I had to shoot by bike until we could (along with Dolça Ollé) catch Esther Rodríguez who did not take 1min in the swim.

Later we continued at a good pace until we reached Mabel Gallardo around the 25 km, at that time I trusted my career on foot, so the best option was to stay together at the top, where Mabel was practically pulling alone until the km 73 that I went to set the pace in head to the T2.

After getting off the bike, a priori I knew that running my pace was a bit higher than that of Dolça and Mabel, but I did not know how the race came from behind so I started very strong, the first 2 kilometers roaming the 3min40s km and then until reaching the turning point (km10,5) I went at a rate around 3min50s km.

After returning to the goal, I saw that he had a lot of difference with Anna Noguera I was second, so I already dedicated myself to managing the income and enjoying the fantastic circuit designed by the organization in the old Turia riverbed "
