Samer Ali-Saad seeks to recover his crown at the Seville Triathlon

The test continues beating records of participation, with 3.500 enrolled. 

 

 

The XIX BMW San Pablo Motor - Seville Triathlon, second test of Europa FM Circuit, which is celebrated this Sunday, does so with an important participation (more than 3000 enrolled). A test that has managed to grow exponentially in recent years and become a benchmark. Not only for the number of triathletes, but also for the wide range of tests to satisfy the demand of such a varied audience. And it is that this May 17 Isla de la Cartuja will host from professionals to novice, Through the Relay triathlon, the one of footing or paratriathlon.

This great sports festival will have its epicenter from the 9h30 in the modality of Olympic triathlon (1500 swimming meters, 40 kms of cycling and 10 of running on foot). In it, great triathletes will play the honor of triumphantly raising the arms of a test of prestige. In the list of favorites appear the great dominator of this test, Samer Ali-Saad, winner of 7 editions, which will try to recover his crown after giving it last year to Josemi Pérez, Olympian in London'12. The triathlete of the Isbilya-Sloppy Joe's had three consecutive victories until in the last edition ended his winning streak. The Sevillian are also in the list of favorites Pedro Lumbreras, champion of Andalusia of Duatlón'14; or the gaditano Germán Rodríguez, winner of the Jaén Water Triathlon last summer.

All of them, along with some surprise that always appears, will seek to cross the finish line in the first place at the 11h20 in the morning. Samer Ali Saad, is ambitious and wants to reach the 10 victories in this event: "Particularly, I hope the forces join me and can repeat victory. I'm missing 3 triumphs to get to the 10 here, which is my goal. "

In the female category, the great favorite to succeed Elena Aguilar will Rocío Molas, third last year and winner of the Duathlon of Seville last March. Next to her, Mariola Verdejo y Ana Ruz.

A true sport festival that will sprinkle every corner of the race: the waters of the Guadalquivir, the Isla de la Cartuja or the peaceful leafiness of the Alamillo Park. In addition, the temperatures are going to give a truce after the heat of these days and the weather will be quite pleasant.
