Luis Miguel Sánchez and Sara Pérez are the strongest in the Triathlon of Valladolid.

This year the cycling route was modified to only two laps on the bike

You could say that the victories of Luis Miguel Sánchez and Sara Perez they marked with difference the triumph of two triathletes that once again dominated a triathlon that undoubtedly has great acceptance within the group of triathletes.

The usual format this time was reinforced by giving fewer laps in the cycling segment, although there is always a but and is that women are involved in platoons composed by men distorting a bit the female test and many times more than benefited harms them enough to have to be continuously separating in small spaces and not breach well the drafting.

It is also true that the circuit does not benefit them at all these squads, but better and cleaner without the men in the race, like the departure of non-federated, curiously had never seen non-federated clubs, but "have them ailos" from what I saw in Valladolid.

It would be great if the exits were more spaced, but I suppose that the authorizations of the town hall and the police should have a schedule and nothing can be done.

Despite all the Triathlon of Valladolid, I liked it and I guess we'll see each other again at the 2016, I also liked seeing people who are involved in triathlon and had not seen for a while.

Luis Miguel Sanchez (1º 56: 04) of exit already had the dorsal number 1 and returned to repeat that position dominating from the first moment despite leaving the water at the feet of the young Kevin Viñuela (2º 56: 58) that would eventually occupy the next box on the podium.

Luis Miguel Sánchez Triathlon of Valladolid

From behind and sharing the podium with them Daniel Gonzalez (3º 57: 17) who controlled Raúl Mansó (4º 57: 37) and who was approaching him dangerously. Then a triathlon fighter Alberto Gonzalez (5º 57: 55) looking for the escaped and getting close to them and making it difficult, as always. Nice the masculine test and great triumph of Luis Miguel Sánchez Rosado.

The women's test was dominated from the first meters, where it was already Sara Perez (1ª 1: 03: 51), complete triathlete and each time "more complete" and that little by little is getting stronger in the Spanish elite. Little has to envy the best Spanish and no doubt when she wants to put in trouble to anyone who walks for the positions of the national elite.

Sara Pérez Valladolid Triathlon

Her partials in both swimming and cycling and in the race make her worthy of a victory that nobody doubted in Valladolid. I like Sara's way of competing and I hope that her progress in this sport will one day be like what she had in her "other" sport.

Behind a fighter Helena Herrero (2ª 1: 05: 48) "stuck" on the bike, with mechanical problems and taking his wheel despite all the "aspirants" to win it. Her class and seniority made her maintain that second position.

The other segoviana Sara Regidor (3º 1: 06: 10) took third place on the podium ahead of two triathletes from Ondarreta, Barbará Molina (4ª 1: 06: 30) and Ángela Tejedor (5ª 1: 06: 37).

The victories by clubs were for the Imps from Rivas in men and Cuellar Triathlon women.

The other categories the winners were:

  • Cadets: Esther Gomez (1: 07: 33) and Alfonso Izquierdo (1: 02: 54)
  • Junior: Elena Diez (1: 07: 12) and Iván Rosado (59: 21)
  • Sub 23: Monica Pollino (1: 11: 46) and Kevin Tarek Viñuela (56: 58)
  • Veterans 1: Monica Ayerra (1: 07: 40) and Guillermo Sanchez 1: 02: 15
  • Veterans 2: Maria Mercedes Torres (1: 15: 42) and Gregorio Castaño (1: 05: 03)
  • Veterans 3: Angel Castro (1: 07: 59)
