Ainhoa ​​Murua Top 20 in the Hamburg World Series

The German town of Hamburg has welcomed this Saturday the fifth round of ITU Triathlon World Series. The two Spaniards in contention have remained in the front positions, performing both a great performance throughout the test. Ainhoa ​​Murua, Olympic diploma in the Olympic Games of London, entered the Top-20 of the competition.

Throughout the five laps of the cycling tour through the streets of the German city, a very large squad of 40 triathletes has led the sector. In it were both Carolina Routier and Ainhoa ​​Murua, who remained in the fight for the first places.

 

Both continued in the front positions during the 5 km running, performing at a good level throughout the entire contest. In the end the Gipuzkoan crossed the finish line in 18th place; while Routier has occupied the 36º position.

 

After some disputed final kilometers of running on a very flat urban circuit, which included 180º turns, the victory has been for the triathlete local Anne Haug. While the British Non Stanford y Jodie Stimpson they have won the silver and bronze medals respectively.
