Approved the routes for the World

The International Triathlon Federation gave its approval to the routes proposed by the organizing committee of the Duathlon World Championship that will take place on September 24 and 25 in Gijón.

This organizing committee received confirmation of the routes that will be practically the same as those of the Spanish Championship that was held in Gijón last year. Last week a new meeting of the World Cup organizers was held in order to monitor the different areas, both in the sporting aspect with the closure of the routes and schedules as well as to establish future lines of work in communication and promotion.

Sharon Calderón, recently elected new president of the Asturian Triathlon Federation after the departure of Laura Tuero, participated in this meeting for the first time. Also joining her were Enrique Quesada, representing the International Federation, and Jorge García, from the Spanish Federation.
