Beth Potther Wins the Grand Final of the Pontevedra World Series and the World Cup

Noelia Juan finishes in the Top10

Today was celebrated Grand Final of the Triathlon World Series in the city of Pontevedra, Spain, where victory has gone to Beth Potter. 

The test was held under the Olympic distance format, with 1,5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running. 

The first to come out of the water was Olivia Mathias followed by Bianca Seregni at 1 second and for Maya Kingma to 2 seconds. The difference between the first 10 was 9 seconds. 

In the 40 kilometer cycling segment, the first to reach T2 was Olivia Mathias followed by Sophie Coldwell to 1 second. Third at this point was Kate Waugh to 1 second. The chasing group reached 13 seconds. 

In the first round, Kate Waugh led followed by Beth Potter to 1 second. In the second round, the situation remained the same. However, in the third round, Beth Potter took the lead. 

Finally, the victory went to Beth Potter with a time of 1: 53: 19 followed by Kate Waugh (1: 53: 37) and for Cassandre Beaugrand (1:53:50) teccera. 

The fourth and fifth classified were Lisa Tertsch with a 15 second penalty in swimming and Rachel Klamerrespectively.  

The Spanish Noelia Juan He achieved his best result in the World Series in the Top 10.

Spanish Athletes in the Test 

Among the Spanish athletes, the most notable was Noelia Juan, who achieved an excellent ninth position with a time of 1:54:31, just 1 minute and 12 seconds from first place.  

 It follows Miriam Casillas in position 18, Anna Godoy in position 26, Marta Pintanel Raymundo He completed the test in 46th place.
