The Spanish Championships of MD and LD will be scored for the PTO 2022 ranking

La FETRI and PTO Following the collaboration line of the previous two years, in Bilbao in 2019 and Platja D'Aro in 2020, it will count two valid tests of the FETRI calendar for the PTO ranking in 2022, the two Spanish Middle Distance (Pamplona) and Long Distance (Platja D'Aro) championships.

For Jorge García, director of competitions of the FETRI, this news confirms the path marked out by the FETRI in terms of its positioning in the calendar of the main international competitions on the world scene,” This initiative of the FETRI together with the PTO confirms the position that our federation has in always being associated with the most important structures in the world of triathlon.

For this reason we have proposed that the two MD and LD events that meet the requirements to be in their ranking would be Pamplona and Tradeinn 140.6, the Spanish MD and LD championships, and the PTO has confirmed the inclusion of both competitions.

These requirements are linked to the increase in cash prizes, the quality standards for this type of event, etc. Without a doubt, great news for the national triathlon".

The first of the two FETRI tests associated with the PTO will be the Spanish Long Distance Championship which will be held on May 8 in Platja D'Aro in the province of Girona.

The second competition to be included in the PTO ranking will be the Championship of Spain of Average Distance Pamplona, which will be held on May 14, just one week after the Platja D'Aro competition, at the Pamplona Half Triathlon.

The trajectory, the history of this test that will celebrate its eighth edition on May 14 and that has several editions of the Spanish Cup in its background, together with the beauty and demand of its routes and the environment in which it takes place , as well as the good work of the organization have been key factors for FETRI to present its headquarters to the PTO and for it to have been included in its ranking in 2020.
