Carolina Routier gets the Silver in Sarasota

Carolina Routier the silver medal has been hung on the Triathlon ITU Pan Am Cup held this Saturday March 16 in Sarasota (Florida).

 

 

The banyolin has shone again in the swimming segment, starting in second position after finishing the respective 1500 m. This was followed by the eight laps (40 km in total) cyclists, giving way to the 10 km race on foot. This last sector has run through a very fast and flat circuit made up of two laps.

 

 

Throughout these final two segments, Routier has maintained a very high standard; placing himself in the first positions, to finally cross the finish line in second position. Ahead of the Spanish came the Canadian Paula Findlay; while the Czech Vendula Frintova was third in the final classification.

 

 

In elite male category the triumph has been for the Portuguese Joao Pereira in a tight final, with the American Tommy Zaferes entering two seconds short in second position. He also luso Miguel Arraiolos has completed the podium in third place. While Cesc Godoy has achieved a worthy eighth place, maintaining a good level and placing himself in the advanced positions during the development of the contest.
