What will the Collins Cup be like? Preview and where to see it live

This next August 28 the expected Collins Cup in Samorin (Slovakia), where will be some of the best triathletes in the world representing the teams of Europe, USA and International or the rest of the world.

It will have a different format to what we are inhabited where they will be made 12 starts of 3 triathletes each 10 minutes apart between each one.

To meet the winning team you will have to go scoring points in each race. The winner of each series will receive 3 points, the second 2 and the third only 1 point.

There will be one more incentive since if the winner of the round is ahead of the second in more than 6 minutes, 1,5 points will be added, if he is ahead in 4 minutes 1 point and if he reaches the goal with more than 2 minutes, 0,5 will be added, XNUMX points to the team

Distances

The Collins Cup takes place in the following format:

  • 2 km of swimming
  • 80 km cycling
  • 18 km foot race

The test can be followed live on Saturday, August 28 at the following times:

  • 1st female event: 13:00
  • 1st men's event: 15:00

For Spain the test can be followed live through Eurosport o Discovery + or the website of Collins Cup. 

The Eurosport channel will offer an exclusive program dedicated to the event throughout the 28th.
