The European Triathlon Cup in Madrid will end at the Royal Palace

The point of the test will be the arrival at the finish line, which will be located in the area of ​​the Royal Palace.

 

La Madrid Triathlon European Cup 2016, which will be held at the 1 in May, broadens its horizons with a renewed tour that will go through the Casa de Campo, where swimming will take place, to visit the center of the capital and some of the most emblematic places of the city. The highlight of this attractive circuit will be the arrival at the finish line, which on this occasion will be located in the area of ​​the Royal Palace.

In this way, thanks to the involvement of the City of Madrid, this time the elite triathletes will leave the Casa de Campo once the swim segment ends. Thus, the bicycle and the foot race will run through central streets of Madrid, passing through well-known points such as the Cuesta de La Vega, the streets of Pintor Rosales or Ferraz, from where you can glimpse some of the icons of the capital as the Temple of Debod, the Royal Theater or the Royal Palace.

The goal will be located next to the Royal Palace, so it will be a spectacular arrival to this building declared Historical Heritage of Spain.

This will be the route of the European Cup competition, which will take place over Olympic distance (1.500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of bicycle and 10 kilometers of running) and also make up the circuits of the qualifying events for the Championship of Spain Triathlon (but in this case sprint distance). 

Popular Triathlon

The 30 day in April will celebrate the Popular Triathlon of Madrid, with competitions designed for all ages and levels. These popular tests will be developed by the Madrid lung of the Casa de Campo in Madrid and their main objective is to encourage and enjoy sports in a festive and family atmosphere.

The trials will start from the 08: 30 hours with an Olympic triathlon for male federated and will be a continuous course of events: Olympic federated women, olympics non-federated male and female, relays, test sprint federated and non-federated male and female, supersprint federated and non-federated male and female and duathlon for children (categories alevín, benjamín and prebenjamín).
