FETRI Criteria for Selection in Multisport 2020 Competitions

The Technical Directorate of the Spanish Triathlon Federation has published the Selection criteria for international tests Multisport In season 2020.

It is important to note that in the next season the Duathlon European Championship It is celebrated in our country, specifically in Punta Umbría (Huelva) on the weekend of 7 and 8 in March.

The selection test for this championship will be the Oviedo Qualifier, which takes place on February 2.

Finally, note that the Duatló World Championshipn will be held in Almere, the Netherlands, in the month of September.

FETRI 2020 SELECTION CRITERIA

The criteria that are detailed below will be those that determine the compositions of the national teams that will be able to compete in the international tests that the Spanish Triathlon Federation has chosen as such for this season 2020.

The criteria at a general level will follow a correlative order to what is specified in each competition and is detailed as follows (so 1º will be the first criterion, then the 2º and so on) until completing the proposed places. That an athlete meets several criteria will NOT mean that the assigned place passes to the next athlete who meets the criteria.

The technical management reserves the right to NOT fill the places to which the Spanish team is entitled for both sports and budgetary reasons.

Athletes must have sufficient ITU points to be included in the “Start list” in those types of competitions that require it.

The tests may be framed in three types, the ones that appear related in these criteria will be, FETRI or FETRI aids. And those that do not appear, will be of FREE participation for which it will be necessary to go to the technical direction or to the published international calendar 2019.

FETRI: Tests in which there is a national expedition, complying with the uniformity regulations of FETRI.

Aid FETRI: International Tests in which the athletes manage their displacement and competition, and whose result opts for a series of financial aids, complying with the regulations of uniformity of the FETRI, including protocol acts such as press conferences and presentations.

ELITE PLACES: 4 male and 4 female

1º.- 1 place to the best MEDALLIST of the CTO of EUROPE 2019
2º.- 2 places for the best in the CLASSIFICATOR of CTO SPAIN of the DUVLÓN DE OVIEDO 3º.- Squares remaining at the discretion of the technical management.

SUB23 PLACES: 3 male and 3 female

1º.- 1 place to the best MEDALLIST of the CTO of EUROPE 2019
2º.- 1 place To the first SUB23 in the CLASSIFICATION of CTO SPAIN of the DUVLÓN DE OVIEDO 3º.- Squares remaining at the discretion of the technical management.

JUNIOR PLACES: 3 male and 3 female

1º.- 2 places to the first TWO JUNIOR in the CLASSIFICATOR of CTO SPAIN of the DUVLÓN DE OVIEDO
2º.- Remaining places at the discretion of the technical management.
