Dan Plews, Javier Gómez Noya's new coach

The Spanish triathlete Javier Gómez Noya has started 2022 being a protagonist in the world of triathlon.

After having announced the end of his sponsorship with Specialized and his signing for Orbea and having obtained the victory in the IRONMAN 70.3 Pucón This weekend, it has now been announced that he will change the coach for this new stage focused on long distance.

His new coach will be the New Zealander Dan Plews, who has made it public on their social networks

Who is Dan Plews?

The 39-year-old Briton has extensive experience in the world of training leading triathletes of the stature of Terenzo Bozzone or Jan van Berkel among others. Also this year he will train another Spaniard Pablo Dapena.

He also claims to be the fastest triathlete in Age Groups with a time of 8:24:36, achieved in 2018.
