El Spanish Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship 2023 was held yesterday in the city of A Coruña, where David Castro y Maria Casals they got the titles of champions, demonstrating their quality.
David Castro, from EQTR Rodacal Beyem took the men's race with an impressive time of 1:40:29.
His attack from the start of the run segment allowed him to hold the lead until the end, securing his third straight championship title.
Stephen Basanta, from Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, took second place, while his teammate, Antonio Serrat, achieved an exciting third place after an exciting final duel with Iván Gil.

For its part, Maria Casals, from Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, took the women's elite title with a time of 1:54:56.
Casals managed to overcome Irenal Arenal, from Náutico de Narón, who led for a good part of the race on foot.
Arenal he led for much of the race on foot, but ultimately finished in second position. Natalie Castro, also from Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, took third place.

Paratriathlon World Cup A Coruña 2023
In addition to the Spanish Triathlon Championship, A Coruña also hosted the 2023 Paratriathlon World Cup.
