Águilas, the first duathlon qualifier of the season, will feature Fernando Alarza

The Murcian town of Águilas will host during this weekend the first of the qualifiers for the Spanish Duathlon Championship, which this year will be held on the weekend of 2 and 3 in April

The XXIII edition of the Duathlon Carnivals will be the first duathlon qualifier of the season, and will be attended by our Olympic triathlete Fernando Alarza as the main protagonist. Fernando competed in the Autonomic Cross Country Championship two weeks ago, but Águilas will be his first competition in terms of duathlons and triathlons.

The duathlon will be played on Sunday, with the scheduled start at 10: 00 in the morning. And as it has been tradition, some athletes will compete in disguise putting a note of color to the carnival dates in which the event is framed.

The City Council of Águilas, organizers of the event, has everything ready for the Eagles on Sunday to be a party and for the triathletes to enjoy their competition and the warmth of the residents of Murcia.
