The Women's Triathlon of Madrid meets 5 years

Great weekend that has been lived in the Casa de Campo in Madrid, where near 400 women have participated in the fifth edition of the Women's Triathlon that is presented as a consolidated test at the national level.

As a novelty, this year the Women's Triathlon has had the presence of a team representing the Madrid 2020 Candidacy, who wanted to join this great triathlon party by participating in this test that has had distances of 300 meters swimming, 8 km in the cycling segment, to finish with 2 kilometers of running.

Framed in a playful and sporty atmosphere, which transmits values ​​that go beyond the competition itself, the first outing began at 17.30pm. On a practically flat circuit, with a short climb to the cable car, women of all ages have been able to enjoy this excellent circuit that runs through the Casa de Campo in Madrid. The first to reach the finish line was the triathlete of the CTOA club, Yolanda Manso, followed by Marine Le Toulouzan, independent, followed by UTe Stammeyer from the Enphorma Triathlon.

During the awards ceremony, which also included teams made up of two and three friends, we were able to count on the presence of Alicia García, General Secretary of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, Lorenzo Bernal, President of the Madrid Federation and with Juan Ramón Lucas, renowned RNE announcer who attended the Sandra Ibarra Cancer Front Foundation, where they joined this initiative to participate in this emotional moment of the awards ceremony.

Thanks to the commitment and participation of hundreds of women who each year come to share in this day of Triathlon, our sport is presented today as an inclusive sport, which has its doors open to anyone who wants to take part in it. .

After the Madrid event, the most popular event on this circuit, the women's triathlon will continue to travel throughout the Spanish geography, with the sole objective of “that no one is left without doing triathlon”.
