Emilio Martín and Paula García our strengths in the Duathlon European Championship
Emilio Martín who won the runner-up last year, will fight for gold
After the silver of 2015 the Andalusian Emillio Martín will try to get his first European gold while the Madrilenian Paula García arrives in good time as demonstrated last weekend proclaiming itself Spanish Duathlon Champion and we do not rule out that he may be fighting for the medals.
This next Sunday 17 of April in the German city of Kalkar is celebrating a new edition of the Duathlon European Championship, under the classic standard distance: 10km of running race followed by 40km of cycling and ending with 5km of running race. In the elite competition there will be 25 men and 12 women.
Although it does not reach the 100% in the race on foot, the current world champion Emilio Martín is one of the favorites to victory along with the French Benoit Nicolas (current European champion) and Yohan Le Berre and the british Philip Wyle
As far as women's competition is concerned, the main favorite is the French Sandra Levenez current European champion and world bronze. We will also have to be attentive to the Danish Susanne Svedesen and the Italian Giorgia Priarone
The men's event will be the first to be contested, at the 13: 15, while the women will start an hour later.
Finally, note that the rest of the "DuArmada" ELITE present in Germany will be the paraduatletas PT3 Joaquín Carrasco in PT3 and Rafa Solis and Francisco Jesús San Martín, both in PT4
