Emilio Martín and Mavi García win the Powerman Mallorca
Victory in the Powerman of Mallorca for the current ducatlon world runner-up Emilio Martin in the men's event and for the world bronze medal Mavi García in the women's event, both duathletes of the Club Ferrer Hotels.
Today 25 of February, has been celebrated in Can Picafort, the II Edition of the Powerman Spain in Mallorca, the most important duathlon in Europe, which for the second consecutive year and after the success of last year, organizes Ferrer Hotels with Unisport Consulting.
Emilio Martín y Mavi García, both athletes of the Ferrer Hotels Sports Club, have been the absolute winners of the Classic category for men and women with a time of 2: 34: 28 and 2: 51: 02 respectively, of the second edition of the Powerman Spain Mallorca, that has taken place today in Can Picafort, and that has been organized by Ferrer Hotels and Unisport Consulting.
Garcia also, along with Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, also of the Sports Club Ferrer Hotels, and with a time of 2: 38: 48, have been Balearic Championships of Long Distance Duathlon in female and male modality respectively. The Ferrer Hotels Sports Club has also been a team winner.
More than 350 athletes of the world and hundreds of multi-sport enthusiasts have gathered in this new edition of one of the most important duathlons held in Europe, to compete for the title of this second edition.
Next to them, Seppe Odeyn, from Belgium and Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, won the podium for the Men's Classic category, while Emma Pooley, from the United Kingdom and Nina Brenn, from Switzerland, occupied the second and third place for the women's Classic category. .
On the other hand and in Sprint category they have been victorious Nils Pennekamp, from Holland in the male category and Laura Gomez in the female category.
In addition to having been Balearic Championships of Long Distance Duathlon, in this second edition, the Powerman Spain has been one of the 4 scoring tests for Duathlon Spain Cup, which will be held in national territory during the 2017 and organized by the Royal Spanish Triathlon Federation.
Powerman Mallorca joined 2016 on the international Powerman circuit, which currently has events in the Netherlands, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Germany and a world championship in Zofingen-Switzerland.
