Eneko Llanos hopes to revalidate the victory in the Triathlon of Zarautz on Saturday

Eneko Llanos has confirmed its presence in the Gipuzkoan race, where it will once again be the rival to beat in the men's category, in a test that adjusts to its characteristics because it accumulates eight victories in its record.

The Zarautz Triathlon, which celebrates its silver anniversary on Saturday, consists of a 2,5-kilometer swimming event, another 76 by bicycle and 20 by running.

The Spaniard will try to maintain his good condition in a way that led him to prevail three weeks ago at the Ironman in Texas, in the United States, and since his return to Vitoria he has been training with a view to the Gipuzkoan test.

The traditional Zarautz race has already confirmed the participation of more than 700 athletes and the main rivals of Eneko Llanos will be Mikel Elegezabal and Mathias Hecht from Gipuzkoa, third and fourth respectively last year, in addition to Timo Bracht.

Llanos will seek his third victory of the season after adding wins at the I Can in Marbella in April and the Ironman in Texas in May. EFE
