Europe wins the Collins Cups
Today the first edition of the Collins Cup, organized by PTO y Challenge Family within The Championship which will be played tomorrow
The competition that has faced 3 teams Europe, USA e International It has been very close, rainy and exciting until the end.
The competition format consisted of 12 rounds with 3 athletes, one for each selection, where points were played that were added to each team's locker.
Distances
The Collins Cup takes place in the following format:
- 2 km of swimming
- 80 km cycling
- 18 km foot race
Punctuation system
The points were divided as follows
- 1st: 3 points
- 2st: 2 points
- 3rd: 1 point
But points were also added for taking more than 2 minutes of difference with respect to the next classified
- +2 minutes: 0,5 points
- +4 minutes: 1 point
- +6 minutes: 1,5 points
In the first round, the women of each team have participated in 6 competitions where they have been as follows.
They have won Taylor Knibb, Lucy Charles-Barclay, Jackie Hering, Ellie Salthouse, Emma Pallant-Browne and Katrina Matthews
Regarding male participation, they have been as follows
They have won Jan Frodeno, Gustav Iden, Lionel Sanders, Daniel Baekkegard, Braden Currie and Jackson Laundri
