The current European Olympic distance runner-up will make his debut at the Ironman 70.3 circuit on Sunday in the Portuguese city of Cascais

As regards the Spanish triathletes Spain presents possibly one of the most important representation of always in a test of IM 70.3, besides Alarza, will be Emilio Martin (Duathlon world and European champion) and Gustavo Rodríguez (current champion of Spain of Media and Long distance). Together with them, the rest of the Spanish representatives will be Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, Dani Múgica, Jon Unanue, Pedro José Andujar and Pakillo Fernández-Cortés.
As regards the female competition, the Portuguese Ana Filipa Santos is the favorite, along with the British Sara Lewis, the austrian Sylvia Gehnböck and the Polish Agnieszka Jerzyk On the Spanish side, Helene Alberdi, bronze medal in the championship of Spain of Guadalajara, and podium in Pamplona, Zarautz and Vitoria will make his debut in the circuit IM 70.3 in the appointment of Cascais.
The competition will start next Sunday at the 7: 27 local time with the male PRO exit. Three minutes later the start of the female PRO category will take place and then to the 7: 35 the age groups.
Finally, we want to mention that within the age groups there will be more than 400 Spanish triathletes, what possibly supposes a record of participation of Spanish triathletes in a triathlon of the Ironman franchise celebrated outside Spain.
