Galicia suspends Federated sport to fight the pandemic

As reported in a release, The Xunta de Galicia has decided to increase the restrictions to combat the spread of the pandemic in that Community with the suspension of all federated sport.

They are also limited training sessions, to a maximum of four people per group, with the obligation to respect the perimeter closures and the night curfew hours.

Likewise, the capacity in gyms is reduced and the use of changing rooms is limited. However, the federated sport in national competitions remains.

It is recommended in relation to federated sports at the regional level the suspension of competitions and in terms of training that must respect the entry and exit limitations existing in the corresponding territorial spaces and the restrictions established on the free movement of people at night.

Regarding state competencies and their training, they will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the competent administration and in accordance with the limitations established in their federal protocols.

Sports activities and facilities

The practice of physical activity and non-federated sports, outdoors, may be carried out individually or collectively up to a maximum of 4 people living together or not, excluding the monitor.

In sports facilities and centers, sports activities may be carried out individually or collectively with a maximum of 4 people, living together or not, excluding the monitor, without physical contact, and as long as it does not exceed 50% of the maximum allowed capacity.

The necessary measures must be established to seek interpersonal safety distance during the development of the activity.

Autonomous level sports competitions are suspended

Autonomous level sports competitions are suspended. The corresponding training will be subject to the same limitations as the rest of the physical and sporting activity, having to respect the entry and exit limitations existing in certain territorial areas and the limitations established on the free movement of people at night.

National-level sports competitions and their training will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the competent administration and in accordance with the limitations established in the corresponding federal protocols.
