Garmin Barcelona Triathlon opens inscriptions

After the successful participation in the 2012 edition, with almost 6000 participants, and the spectacular victory of Fernando Alarza in the Olympic category, the Garmin Barcelona Triathlon it gets back on track to make your 2013 edition even more spectacular.



For the moment, since last Thursday, its organizers have been carrying out through its social networks facebook and twitter @barcelonatri a contest in which the authors of the best five photographs "Your Tri Moment"They have the possibility of winning a free registration for the category in which they wish to participate in 2013.

From tomorrow on Tuesday 5 day of March any triathlete can formalize already through the website your registration for this year from the 12 at noon.


The great novelty for this edition is that the increase in the price of registration, which in previous years had been rising as the calendar progressed, this year will be governed by the number of registered itself. In this way, the first registered will be those who will access the cheapest prices, and this operation applies to all distances and categories: Olympic, sprint, super sprint and relay.


Thus, in the Olympic category, prices will go from 65 €; in Sprint category from 52 €; and in Super Sprint category from 39 €. These prices include VAT, but not chip rent. In addition, the federated will get a discount.

The 2012 edition, which took place around the Olympic Village and the Platja de la Mar Bella, was attended by more than 6000 triathletes distributed in the Olympic distances, Sprint and Super Sprint.


This good figure and the great atmosphere recorded confirmed that the Garmin Barcelona Triathlon is the most popular of all those held in the Spanish state and one of the most important in Europe. In the 2012 edition, in terms of participation, there was an increase of 15% of triathletes in the Super Sprint category, an 10% of female category and another 10% of the number of foreigners who took part from more than 30 different countries.
