IRONMAN adds two new tests in Europe. Greece and norway
IRONMAN has announced that it will add two new events to its 2022 racing calendar with the IRONMAN 70.3 Vouliagmeni in Greece and the IRONMAN 70.3 Sandnes in Norway.
- The inaugural edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Vouliagmeni, Greece, will take place on October 23, 2022
- The inaugural edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Sandnes in Norway will take place on July 3, 2022
The new Greek IRONMAN 70.3 experience
The inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 in Vouiliagmeni, Greece will take place on October 23, 2022.
Athletes will enjoy the mild Athenian autumn weather in the picturesque area of the Athenian Riviera. The famous seaside town of Vouliagmeni is located 20 km from the cultural center of Athens.

Athletes will complete a one-lap swim course on one of the most popular sandy beaches in Greece, Vouliagmeni - Varkiza Beach, looking out over the serene and crystal clear waters of the Athenian Riviera bay.
The bike tour will be a magnificent two-loop coastal drive to the iconic Ancient Temple of Poseidon, passing traditional fishing villages and impressive cliffs.
Lastly, the two-lap running race course also follows the shoreline, heading to Lake Vouliagmeni, a true treasure of Greek nature, with warm waters and annual healing properties.
IRONMAN 70.3. Vouliagment, Greece will offer qualifying slots for the 70.3 IRONMAN 2023 World Championship that will take place in Lahti, Finland, on August 26-27, 2023. General registration for the Greek event will open on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

The Fjords of Norway add an IRONMAN 70.3
The inaugural edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Sandnes in Norway will take place on July 3, 2022. Athletes will compete on the doorstep of the Fjords of Norway.
The region is known for its deep and mystical fjords, spectacular waterfalls, picturesque urban centers, long sandy beaches, and world-renowned monuments of Viking heritage. Athletes will swim in the Gandsfjord, tour the North Sea coast, and race through the city center of Sandnes.

IRONMAN 70.3. Sandnes, Norway, will offer 30 qualifying spots for the 70.3 IRONMAN 2023 World Championship that will take place in Lahti, Finland, on August 26 and 27, 2023.
General registration for the Nordic event will open on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
