Club la Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote 2016 meets its 25 edition

Next May 21, 2016 Lanzarote will host the 25th edition of its now legendary IRONMAN, an event that is also qualifying for the Hawaiian Ironman World Championship, offering a total of 40 places for this test in age groups, and up to 1.000 points for professionals.

 

 

With a forecast of more than 2.000 triathletes in the starting line of more than 50 different nationalities, the Island of Lanzarote will become that week a veritable hotbed of sportsmen, which this year will also have a special program thanks to its 25 edition.

Triathletes the likes of Maribel Blanco, Saleta Castro, Virginia BerasateguiEneko Llanos, Victor del Corral o Miquel Blanchart They have already made history in this event, climbing the podium in some edition in a test that has more than 20.000 euros in cash prizes for the first classified.

After 24 years of experience, Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote, the event that is characterized by its toughness showing nature in its purest form (sun, wind, slopes, beach, volcanic landscapes ...), has become today a benchmark of long distance at an international level, this 2016 being a key edition celebrating its 25th edition to compete in this exciting challenge of being a finisher on the spectacular island of Lanzarote.
