Javier Gómez Noya target Nice

Five times world triathlon champion Javier Gómez Noya ran again in the streets of Madrid in the ProFuturo career of the Madrid Half Marathon.

He did it with Abel Antón y Chema Martínez sharing anecdotes in the 5,8 kilometers of the test.

An injury prevents participation in the Half Marathon

Javi explained at the finish line that he was unable to compete in the Half Marathon distance due to injury.

"I have been dealing with problems to recover from an injury, and for this reason I have preferred to run the short race at a leisurely pace, to gradually recover my competition rhythm.”.

Goal the IRONMAN World Cup

The Galician has plans to return to competition in June, participating in an IRONMAN with the goal of qualifying for the IRONMAN World Championship, which will be held on September 10 in Nice.

"In June, I will compete in an IRONMAN to qualify for the World Championship in September, which will be my big race of the year.“Noya commented in an interview at the finish line.

In June there are several tests that offer slots for Nice, Hamburg, Austria, Cairns (Australia), Coeur d'Alene USA and Nice.
