Jesse Thomas, winner of IRONMAN Lanzarote participates in a 5km race with crutches
The North American had an operation on his left foot last April for a stress fracture
The American Jesse Thomas, who suffered an operation on his left foot last April for a fracture of stress, has not endured without competing and has sought a way to do it even with crutches and for a good cause.
He has participated in the race Wings for life , a test that is held every year on the first weekend of May simultaneously in various parts of the world, in order to raise funds for the Wings for life foundation in spinal cord research.
In social networks, published a few days ago where he announced his intention to participate in the test and you can see how he trained on the tape with crutches:
“I need a challenge to keep me hungry so trying to run a 5k for a good casula on Sunday morning in Seattle as part of @wflworldrun! “
And after the race Jesse published: "5k made at 4 am this morning @WFLWorldRun Charity Run - 32: 43, maybe an unofficial world record? Hahaha. Definitely, in my different / crazy / silly ideas, I'm really sore, but happy to finish. "
