Jonathan Brownlee will not be at the San Diego World Series

The champion of the world Jonathan Brownlee will not be present in the San Diego World Series and he will not be able to defend the victory he got last year.

But if he will be on the starting line his brother Alistair Brownlee , Olympic Champion and two-time world champion who will face each other with Javier Gómez Noya y Mario Mola, first and second in the first appointment of the global series of 2013 that was held in Auckland last weekend

Together they will compete  Fernando Alarza winner of the Quarteira European Cup, Ivan Raña, Uxio Abuin y  Jesús Gomar.

In the female category they will be Marta Jiménez y Carolina Routier second in the Sarasota ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup
