The Challenge BCN-Maresme, more ambitious than ever

The successful Challenge Barcelona-Maresme triathlon was presented last Wednesday in its 2012 edition, which aims to continue with the good line that has taken the test in its three previous editions.

The Catalan race takes advantage of the great conditions that the Calella de Mar area presents to offer participants a unique experience: running a long-distance triathlon (3,86 km. Swimming, 180 by bike and 42.2 on foot) near a great European capital.

The Challenge is a sign that triathlon is becoming increasingly popular in Spain, which has great international triathletes but also many fans.

The good weather conditions and routes make Spain an ideal place for triathlon and more so if it is a test like the Catalan one, to which the Spanish Triathlon Federation recognized its work with the award for the best organization last year , something that testifies to the number of participants, both national and international, that grows every year.
