The medium distance returns to Vitoria with the first edition of the "vi half gasteiz"

The city of Vitoria-Gasteiz will be the headquarters of the "I saw half gasteiz” a new triathlon event will take place on June 4 and will place the city in the national epicenter of triathlon.

With this initiative, the local Aloha Triathlon club, responds to the demand of triathletes to return to compete in a medium distance test in a city ​​historically overturned with sports in general and with triathlon in particular.

The organization has designed a few rspectacular, safe and ideal courses to enjoy triathlon and has the support of the Basque and Alavesa Triathlon Federations that have already designated this first edition as the headquarters of both the Basque Country Championship as the Alavés Medium Distance Triathlon Championship.

The circuits

The participants of this first edition of the “vi half gasteiz” must complete the 1.900 meter swim through the placid waters of the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir in the Garaio Park.

After completing the first sector, they will have to travel the spectacular cycling route through the Alava plain in a 90-kilometer circuit and an accumulated unevenness close to 700 positive meters.

Once in Vitoria-Gasteiz, they will start the final half marathon from the university area, and then travel for 3 laps all the streets of the medieval almond, until crossing the finish line accompanied at all times by family, friends, fans and the passionate town of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
