Super League Triathlon also postpones test in Saudi Arabia for Coronavirus

It is postponed due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.

La Super League Triathlon has announced that it will postpone "Neom 2020: The Opener" due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.

The race was due to take place in Saudi Arabia in late March. Authorities say a new date will be announced soon by the end of the year.

Neom, is a region in northwestern Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea that is being built from scratch

This is the official statement:

Following consultation with the relevant authorities, Super League Triathlon NEOM 2020: The Opener has been postponed due to the ongoing global issues surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The event will be rearranged with a new date towards the end of the year to be confirmed shortly.

The decision has been made to protect the safety of athletes and staff and to ensure that a successful event can still be held.
