Lance Armstrong, fifth in the US Xterra Championship

Lance Armstrong 7-time Tour de France winner returned to participating in a triathlon after 22 years. He made a fantastic debut in the Xterra USA Championship, where Nico Lebrun took the victory in 2:24:20.

The competition consisted of swimming two laps of 750 meters followed by 36 km of mountain biking and ending with the running race for 11 km.

Nico Lebrun is the new 2011 US Xterra Champion finishing the event with a time of 2:24:20. Dan Hugo finished second at 14 'and in third place Josías Middaugh with a final time of 2:25:34. Lance Armstrong achieved a creditable fifth place
