Madrid, is a city with long experience hosting ITU tests

Madrid has a long tradition of ITU tests, and specifically in the Casa de Campo that has witnessed several WTS tests, as well as World Cups in recent years.

This 2020 will offer a different opportunity for triathletes to enjoy this new qualifying format, with a competition where the steep and challenging climbs of the Cuesta de la Vega will be decisive.

This year, the Cup was decided by centimeters

In the last edition of the World Cup in Madrid, in May of 2019, it was the French Emilie Morier who beat her teammate, Sandra Dodet, in what was her first victory in a World Cup, with the Italian Angelica Elm third on the podium.

In the men's event, an exciting race ended with two Germans deciding victory by inches, with Justus Nieschlag overtaking his teammate Lasse Luhrs, right at the finish line. The Spanish Roberto Sánchez Mantecón occupying the third place.

Surely Madrid, with this new format will be a world reference point for triathlon and we will see some of the best trialtets of the international scene competing in our country.
