Marcel Zamora and Anna Noguera first Spaniards in the Alpe D'Huez Short Triathlon

Emma Jackson and Tom Richard take the ninth edition of Alpe D'Huez

 

 

Today Thursday concludes a full week of Triathlon in Alpe dHuez, after the celebration of the Duathlon last Sunday, followed by the Children's Triathlon on Tuesday, continuing yesterday with the reign of the distance called "Long", where the performance of Albert Moreno y Pakillo Fernández , celebrated today to the last of the tests on the distance called "Short" consisting of 1.2 km of swimming followed by 30 km of cycling among which include the 12 mythical curves of ascent to the Alpe d'Huez, to finish with 7 km of run on foot

 

On the start list several Spaniards were the favorites to achieve the Top 10 in this event, both in the men's and women's categories, highlighting the performance of Marcel Zamora eighth, Joan Ruvireta ninth and Richard Calle 19 in the male category and the young Anna Noguera fourth in the female category, in a test in which the young Frenchman finally won the podium Tom Richard with only 21 years and the Australian Emma Jackson

 

 

The first Spanish to enter the goal was Marcel Zamora with an eighth position "This is the seventh year I have competed in this event, the level of participation increases every year, there are many young people and new talents who enter the world of triathlon and who have demonstrated it by making a spectacular race ". "For me and as a test for the goal of this year that is Embruman I have had good feelings, there are only 15 days left for the test and I feel fortunate to be able to participate in this spectacular and demanding event like Alpe d'Huez as part of the training and I recommend to anyone who seeks a test with the essence of Triathlon"

 

In the female category, the first Spanish to enter the finish line was Anna Noguera, that with only 22 years of age and being the first time competing in this ordeal, achieved a remarkable fifth position.
