Mario Mola, with his 4º put in San Diego, qualifies for London 2012

The BH sponsored triathlete, Mario Mola, shone in the third test of the ITU World Triathlon Series held on Saturday in San Diego (USA), after signing a 4th place, with a time of 1h.49'09″, with which he secures a place for the JJ.OO. From london.

“A new and valuable chocolate medal this year, today in San Diego, and with it finally the dream of London comes true… Thank you all for your tireless support, and especially those who put up with me every day, for have made it possible”, commented the Mallorcan triathlete on his twitter account.

Mola stood out in the foot race, in which he staged a spectacular comeback from 36th position at the exit of T2 to reach fourth place during the first of the three laps of the section on foot. Spectacular!

In a vibrant event marked by tension in the search for Olympic places, the gold went to the British Jonathan Brownlee (1h.48'47 ″), while the silver and bronze were taken by the Swiss Sven Riederer (1h.48'52 ″) and the South African Richard Murray (1h.49'01 ″), respectively.

The next test where the Spanish will try to get an Olympic place will be in the World Cup of Madrid, the next May 26.
