Mario Mola tenth in the Elgoibar Cross

The city of Elgoibar was the scene of a new edition of the Elgoibar Cross, an event that this year celebrated its 80º anniversary.

In this edition, the triathlete Mario Mola He participated in the test, wearing the colors of his new team, the Serrano Athletics Club, obtaining a creditable tenth place.

The test, part of the World Cross Country Series and under the protection of the IAAF and the RFEA, was held on a circuit of 9.707 meters in the men's category and 7.621 meters for the women's category.

The day, marked by rain and mud, added an extra degree of difficulty to the competition.

The Ethiopian Berihu Aregawi He won the victory, setting a time of 30:34, a clear reflection of the toughness of the circuit.

But it was the performance of Mario Mola, with a time of 32:22, which captured the attention of many. His tenth position, ahead of athletes of the stature of Arce and Bascuñana, and only 6 seconds ahead of Baidal, his old rival and partner in the Spanish Junior Cross Country Championships, speaks of his quality in this modality.

In the female category the victory was for Beatrice Chebet with a time of 26:08
