The Mallorcan will seek the minimum in the half marathon

In the Spanish sports scene, few figures have shone as brightly as Mario Mola, a name synonymous with excellence in triathlon. 

Now Mola embarks on a new chapter of his career, this time in athletics, after his recent signing for the prestigious Cárnicas Serrano club. 

Mario Mola, three-time world champion in triathlon, has always been a reference in the sport.  

Mola's signing for Cárnicas Serrano represents not only a change of team but also a change of discipline.  

Although he will continue competing in triathlon, there will be more presence in athletics.

Leaving behind his time at ADA Calviá, where he demonstrated his skill and determination in cross-country events, Mola joins a squad where names such as David Cantero, Miguel Baidal y Josep Gómez Sarria, the latter highlighted in the Valencia Marathon. 

Your goal for 2024 

Mola's objective for this season is clear and ambitious: to achieve the minimum for the European Half Marathon Championships in Rome, set at 1 hour, 3 minutes and 15 seconds. 

Although achieving this mark does not guarantee your participation, it does position you as a strong candidate to represent Spain in this prestigious event. 

Beyond his goal in the half marathon, Mola also has road and cross-country competitions in mind. “Among my goals for 2024 are the Spanish road and cross country championships where I hope to help Serrano fight for the team titles.  

In addition, I would like to debut in a half marathon and seek the minimum of the RFEA for the European Half Marathon in Rome“says Mola. 

His transition to athletics

Mola's impact on Spanish athletics will be significant. His transition from triathlon to athletics not only attracts the attention of fans and media, but also inspires other athletes and fans. 

While Mario Mola As he prepares for his next competitions, the eyes of the world of athletics and triathlon will be on him. 

 His ability to face and overcome new challenges has been a constant in his career, and there is no doubt that he will continue to demonstrate it in this new stage.
